The Jalalabad Festival 2025 was held on June 22, 2025, at Oakridge Park in Toronto, where more than 15,000 members of the Bangladeshi-Canadian community, along with friends from diverse backgrounds, gathered to celebrate culture and unity. The day-long festival highlighted the rich heritage of Sylhet through traditional music, dance, food, and vibrant cultural performances. A special highlight of this year’s program was a mesmerizing performance by legendary singer Kumar Bishwajit, whose timeless songs captivated the audience and brought together generations of festivalgoers. Families, youth, and seniors joined in the celebrations, making the festival a truly memorable occasion that showcased both community spirit and cultural pride.

Fundraising and Annual Picnic

The Jalalabad Association of Toronto Annual Picnic & Fundraising 2025 was held on July 20, 2025, at Thomson Memorial Park in Scarborough, bringing together more than 1,000 guests in a joyful, festive atmosphere. The event featured an eye-catching photo booth, traditional Sylheti dishes such as goat curry with satkora, chana dal, and chicken roast, along with a special paan-supari corner. Families, children, and community members enjoyed a full day of cultural celebrations, games, and a lively raffle draw, making the occasion a memorable blend of heritage, togetherness, and community support.

Osmani Memotial Cup Cricket Tournament 2025

Held On August 18, 2025, the 10th edition of the traditional Osmani Memorial Cup Cricket Tournament was held in a grand arrangement at Toronto’s Corvette Sports Field. A total of 16 teams participated in this day-long tournament. In an exciting final match, Team Soldiers emerged as the champion, while Osmani Cricket Club became the runner-up. After the match, trophies and various attractive prizes—including Champion, Runner-up, Man of the Final, and Man of the Tournament—were distributed.
